Today December 1, we reached deadline for bids for WCDF. Yet we have one intentional bid but more details are coming and will be reviewed, discussed and finalized by the end of 2025 year.

Here is what we have so far:

1) SDA (Scottish Draughts Association), IDA (Irish Draughts Association) and EDA (English Draughts Association) submitted combine bid for WCDF events and British Open.

2) City - Stonehaven, Scotland

3) Dates:

British Open - September 9-14, Wednesday - Sunday   

WCDF 3-moves WQT,
WCDF 3-moves Woman World Championship,
WCDF GAYP Youth World Championship

September 14-17, Monday - Thursday

World Blitz, September 18

Place to play - The Town Hall

Stonehaven, Scotland

Main Referee will be local and name provided later.

All details regarding hotel and transportation also will be finalized in the next couple weeks.

I would strongly recommend all federations and national bodies, start working on nominations and visa processing without waiting last minute to July or August. We also will have deadlines for federation:

mid May - provide us number of attendees in each category

mid June - provide us names of players.
